About
Couples/marital counseling, individual psychotherapy, and dating/breakup/executive/life coaching should never feel like an endless cycle of sessions without progress. My approach is integrative, evolving over decades to incorporate the most effective therapeutic methodologies. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, I collaborate with you to develop a plan tailored to your needs, history, cultural background, and personality. My focus is on real, lasting change, with regular assessments to ensure you are making progress. I continually refine my methods using feedback-informed treatment and consistent progress monitoring. By attaining your feedback on the therapeutic alliance, if the approaches being used align with your world view, your opinion on if your goals are being met, and our overall fit, I can make adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
Empathy, integrity, and warmth fuel my passion for working with the complexities of the human condition. I offer a confidential, nonjudgmental therapy experience and a safe space to have conversations about problematic communication patterns, inability to manage conflict, infidelity, trust, parenting, differing financial styles, and much more. I integrate psychodynamic methodology, which considers a person's past developmental influences on their current life challenges, The Gottman Method, CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, in addition to sex therapy, Prepare & Enrich premarital counseling, soltion focused, narrative and more.
My style is engaged and interactive. I am not a passive listener or a "blank-slate" therapist. Therapy must be engaging and dynamic and often incorporate a bit of humor to be effective. I am compassionate, direct, and deeply authentic. I challenge when necessary, encourage exploration, and remain actively involved in your journey.
